Be sure to see the Bayeux tapestry. This famous work of art dates back to the 11th century and was embroidered to celebrate the glorious tribulations of William the Conqueror. The tapestry has been categorized as a UNESCO World Heritage since 2007.
You can also visit the Mémorial Musuem of the Battle of Normandy and the MAHB, Museum of Art and History Baron Gerard. The D Day landing beaches are a few minutes away. Discover the coast and its history : Arromanches and its artificial port or the German battery at Longues-sur-Mer (about 15 minutes away), Omaha Beach or the American cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer (about 20 minutes away), the Pointe du Hoc (about 30 minutes away) but you can also enjoy the wild cliffs or beaches to relax.
